The Chinese Year of the Horse begins on January 31st 2014

Chinese Year of the Horse

The Chinese Year of the Horse begins on January 31st 2014

The twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac are divided into elements, each with slightly different characteristics - this year is a Wooden Horse. With slightly weaker traits to other horses, but clear thinking and the power to replace old for the new. Free spirited, volatile, with dynamic yang energy. All horses are considered fortunate and bring good luck.

Horse Characteristics

Horses represent freedom and are graceful, generous and noble. Adults sleep standing because of their weight, but only for 3-hours a day. Their ears can swivel 180-degrees and they have larger eyes and memories than elephants. Horses have sensitive skin and gallop from danger at up to 50-mph, but if necessary can defend themselves. They love crowds.

Horse People

Horses are happy, loyal, intelligent, unselfish, enthusiastic and fun. Although they talk too much, and are impatient hot-blooded stubborn pessimists, needing support. Their wasteful spending is bad for finance, but they're un-materialistic. Horses like to dance and travel, hating silence and discipline. Their flamboyance stems from independence and not listening to others. Easily fall in love, yet get their hearts broken - and mix well with tiger, dog, or goat people; but not rats, monkeys or rabbits.

Those born during this year will have a good 2014. Independence will bring luck and prosperity, but also health issues and accidents. Careers may suffer: good jobs are an athlete, teacher, technician, driver or politician. Don't be afraid of new ventures, but control emotion and think twice before marrying. A good year for having a baby.

Horse Years

If you were born during these dates, then you're a horse: 30/01/1930 to 16/02/1931, 15/02/1942 to 04/02/1843, 03/02/1954 to 23/01/1955, 21/01/1966 to 08/02/1967, 07/02/1978 to 27/01/1979, 27/01/1990 to 14/02/1991, 12/02/2002 to 21/01/2003

Famous Horse People

Barbara Streisand, Clint Eastwood, Genghis Khan, Isaac Newton, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Armstrong, Oprah Winfrey, Paul McCartney, Ray Charles, Rembrandt, Sean Connery and Teddy Roosevelt.

Predictions

2014 is posed to be very energetic with all feelings amplified. Many will change the energy around them bringing surprise to financial markets. March bears a highly volatile conjunction with Uranus by Mars and Aries. Keep cool and vigilant. This is a good year to travel: the further the better. There will also be the opportunity to develop spirituality.

Under a horse year there is no middle ground with conflicts. Rising oil, food costs and extreme weather will bring protest. The US will prosper economically, but have continued gun trouble. Western Europe may struggle politically and economically, however, a leadership change in Southern Europe and the Middle East helps. The Far East and China continue to boom, and China will begin to innovate rather than copy, but will have problems with natural disasters.

Professor Boyle of Cambridge University thinks a 'doomsday moment' will happen in 2014. He claims that during the last 500 years, a catastrophic international event occurred in the middle of the second decade of each century - and the present financial crisis could be a trigger. He fears the US with its military dominance and falling economic power. Saying "everything depends on whether America can react more imaginatively to decline than Britain did before 1914". Claiming "peace is only possible if the world realizes that an age of individual nations is over and a system of global governance is introduced".

5 Easy Steps to an Old Fashioned Cottage Garden

Cottage garden style is a casual, colorful, easy, beautiful and cheerful celebration of flowers and herbs. I started small and continued to add to my garden. It is much less overwhelming to do 'baby steps', rather than to craft a large garden all at once.

To reduce the amount of watering and fertilizing later, start right by using organic soil that is rich in nutrients. You will enjoy the gorgeous abundant blooms of happy plants that are thriving in ideal conditions. Healthy, well-nourished plants need little to no fertilizer.

One of the best things about this type of garden is its plant density. This dense growth keeps roots cool and moist while crowding out any weeds. Moreover, some seeds will naturally fall to the ground and provide a whole new crop of flowers the following spring.

1. All new gardens should start the same way:

assess the area for the amount of sunlight it receives in a day
determine if the spot is normally dry or moist
if your soil is not 'gardeners' dream loam, add organic materials as needed to make it a great place for new growth to thrive

2. Define the borders of your new cottage garden:

I love the old picket fences, and incorporate them to delineate the boundaries of my gardens. I think they add to the old-fashioned feeling cottage gardens evoke. Perhaps you would rather use stones or some other materials to outline your garden. That's the beauty of a cottage garden-there are no rules except yours!

3. Choose your plants. For me that is the most fun of the whole project. I prefer to use only perennial plant material, but you can certainly add annuals for a bright pop of instant color.

Incorporate the plants that you love, and that work in your sunlight situation. As to choosing colors, I like to mix and match for a very informal look, as if Nature painted the picture herself. But if you wish to use your favorite colors, or coordinate them with your house color, or use complimentary colors, then that is what you should do. Again, there are no hard and fast rules with this type of garden.

4. Wind a drip hose in and around your cottage garden to ensure your plants get all the moisture they need and you won't have to haul out the hose at all! Water ends up where the roots can access it easily. There are inexpensive timers available at local garden centers and online. Just set the on/off time and duration so your garden is watered automatically.

Once established, cottage gardens require a lot less water than traditional gardens. Mine doubles as a rain garden, so I rarely have to water it unless we have an extended dry spell during the hottest part of the summer. Also, my cottage garden faces towards the east. It receives about 6 hours of sunlight, most of which comes during the morning hours.

5. Mulching your garden is always an important step. Mulch holds in precious moisture and holds down weeds, plus it provides that finishing touch that pulls everything together. Use organic mulch like leaf mold or bark, and you have added another layer of nutrients as the mulch breaks down over time.

I make leaf mold by filling up a large black plastic leaf bag with leaves in the spring; tie it up and let it 'cook' in a sunny place for several months. It will break down into usable mulch and be ready for spreading on your gardens in the fall.

Plants that produce nectar, seeds and seed heads are helpful for wild song birds. Nectar plants provide nutritious food during the warmer months; then in the wintertime the seed heads supply valuable nourishment when other seed sources are scarce.

The best gardens are those that bestow beauty and fragrance for us, as well as nourishment for wildlife and beneficial insects. Never use toxic weed killers or chemical fertilizers. Stick with natural and organic alternatives that do not harm us, our wildlife or our water supply.

Remember it is always best to use native plants. They have adapted to your particular climate and soil conditions. Native songbirds, butterflies and bugs look for those familiar and useful plants and shrubs. Your cottage garden will yield many far-reaching benefits for you and your local wildlife.

My name is Connie Smith, and I have been observing, feeding and protecting wild birds for over 35 years. It is so important to help our wildlife that I have dedicated my website to providing information about creating wild bird habitats, as well as safe homes in which birds can nest and raise their families

Glycoscience Leukemia Breakthrough

Glycoscience Leukemia Breakthrough

Scientists have found that leukemia cells have altered cell surface carbohydrates. This is a remarkable discovery and may change how cancer it treated.

When glycoprotein receptor sites on the surface of human cells become deformed, they can kill you. It is from these little antenna all communication is made to support life.

You have some 56 quintillion receptor sites (give or take a few trillion). Every single antenna is constructed from Smart Sugars.

When your body does not have enough Smart Sugars, it can manufacture them from glucose and other sugars present.

However, the enzymatic gymnastics require so much time and energy that the job is not finished properly. When the job is not finished, the receptors are deformed and malfunction with corrupted signals.

Researchers at Griffith University's Institute for Glycomics in Australia and The Saban Research Institute of Children's Hospital Los Angeles have discovered that leukaemic cells have altered cell surface carbohydrates compared to normal cells. Altered cell surface carbohydrates is a critical weakness in leukaemic cells. This knowledge may pave the way for new cancer treatments.

Professor Mark von Itzstein is Director of Griffith University's Institute for Glycomics and the Australian team leader.

He said the discovery is an important advance against leukemia, a cancer of malignant white blood cells that multiply uncontrollably.

Professors Nora Heisterkamp and John Groffen, leaders of the US-based team and Professor von Itzstein and their colleagues have published their research findings in the latest edition of the internationally acclaimed Journal of Experimental Medicine.

We know removal of healthy glycoproteins from the surface of healthy cells will kill healthy cell. So, the immediate response of the researchers is to remove the altered glycoproteins from the cancerous cells thereby killing the cell. Sounds good, but...

Could it be that the scientists are looking through the wrong end of the microscope? It seems more plausible to improve the immune system by making more healthy glycoprotein receptor sites instead of killing the unhealthy cells.

That is the job of the immune system. You may be able to do that with additional Smart Sugars in the body which will cut down on the time and energy required for enzymatic gymnastics to produce healthy receptor sites.

More research is needed to determine how beneficial certain sugars are to the human body. Glycoscience work world-wide will provide the information needed so the general public can determine for themselves how best to take control of their own health using Smart Sugars.

Nutritional Content Of Bee Pollen - No Wonder It's The Most Complete Food On The Planet

Nutritional Content Of Bee Pollen - No Wonder It's The Most Complete Food On The Planet

It seems there is some new type of supplement arriving on the market every day, and of course it is invariably capable of doing the most amazing things.

It cures baldness; it helps your joints; it gets rid of wrinkles, and of course, like virtually every other supplement, it enhances your sex life. I am so sick of reading these ludicrous claims that I no longer even bother.

Admittedly however, bee pollen supplements did manage to catch my attention, and I am about to explain why.

I am not going to mention a single health benefit. Instead, I am only going to discuss a few FACTS regarding the nutritional content of bee pollen, because this is essentially what I found so intriguing.

Let me begin by saying that the human body requires several different nutrients; minerals and vitamins. In fact, your body requires 28 different nutrients. These are essentially molecules which the body requires, but cannot produce.

Interestingly enough, there are only two known foods that contain all 28 nutrients - raw honey and bee pollen. Okay, so now we know that apart from honey, bee pollen has no other competitors as far as essential nutrients are concerned. What about vitamins?

Countless foods are packed full of vitamins and nobody is disputing this, but none of them contain every type of vitamin your body needs, apart from natural honey bee pollen which contains all 18 of them.

Once again, it is easy to see why there is currently so much interest in this astonishing food.

Good quality bee collected pollen also contains all 25 minerals required by the body, and all the amino acids; fats; enzymes; co-enzymes and etc. It likewise contains good carbohydrates and 59 different trace elements.

When a person thinks of protein, they usually think of things like meat, and especially beef. Ironically, the protein content of beef lags behind that of pollen. In fact it's 50% lower than the protein content of pollen.

Protein from pollen is also a richer source of amino acids than protein derived from foods like eggs; cheese, and etc.

Well, as you can see, I stuck to my word, in that I have not discussed any potential health benefits. However, if you do decide to start including pollen in your daily diet, it's imperative that you source a good quality supplement.

Regardless of how amazing the nutritional content of bee pollen is, you could still damage your health if the pollen has been contaminated.

Controlled chemical analysis has clearly shown just how remarkable the nutritional content of bee pollen is, and as such it's clearly evident that it is indeed a complete food, and one of the most nutritious foods known to man.

Top SEO Mistakes and Myths

Top SEO Mistakes and Myths

1. SEO is a shady dark art

SEO is actually about understanding how search engines rank a website, what search engines look for, and how they determine your position within their results.

There are over 200 different elements that Google takes into account, for instance, so it takes a very skilled SEO professional to truly understand how to get a website to rank highly - and consistently.

2. Once is Enough

SEO is not merely a one-off exercise. It requires a lot of sustained, ongoing work in order to achieve high, stable results.

Google is constantly changing the way it indexes websites and, as such, a website will need to evolve over time to remain ahead of the curve.

Your business is constantly changing, so a good SEO strategy should keep in-line with these changes and constantly reassess your target keywords.

3. SEO is Quick

To build a highly-ranked, trusted website takes time. It can take many months, even years, of SEO work to achieve that coveted page 1 listing. There are literally hundreds of factors that can influence how a website ranks in a search engine. You may not be able to meet every criteria to the highest potential, however the key is to try and adhere to as many ranking factors as possible - and this takes time to work towards.

4. Buying a cheap off the shelf website with 'SEO built in'?

You can't just buy an off-the-shelf website or plug-in and expect to rank well instantly.

How your website is programmed is the most crucial part of an SEO strategy. SEO considerations need to be incorporated into the code from the ground up.

5. I am on page 1, job done!

Everyone wants to make it to page 1. However, there's little point being there for a search term that no-one is actually searching for! It's not the number of page 1-listed results you achieve that count, it's the amount of relevant converting traffic that your website attracts from the page 1 listings.

6. It works for them so let's just replicate it

What works for another business, competitor or friend won't necessarily work for you and your business. Every site has different requirements and therefore needs a tailor-made SEO action plan.

In summary

Always have a bespoke SEO strategy and be prepared to evolve it, target those keywords with the highest chance of conversion, and invest the time and money in a well-built website. Finally, be patient - high listings in Google take time and a lot of effort.

Ampalaya (Bitter Gourd) for Natural Health and Wellness

Ampalaya (Bitter Gourd) for Natural Health and Wellness

Bitter gourd also known as bitter gourd, balsam pear, wild cucumber is widely believed to have medical benefits. It comes with a scientific name Momordica Charantia. Momordica came from the Latin word which means to bites. This was referred to the leaves that appear to be somewhat bitten in appearance. To justify such claim many countries had developed, synthesized and turn it into a more convenient and easy to swallow forms: capsules. But what could be under such bitter tasting food that makes it salubrious?

Bitter gourd is a creeping vine that actually belonged to squash family and is usually spotted in tropical areas. Mostly it is found in the Caribbean, Asia and Africa where the weather is warm. Its vine can reach up to 5 meters long and usually requires trellis to creep along. It has dark green leaves separated by 3 to 7 lobes. Individually, each plant owns two flowers of which one is female and the other is male.

Meanwhile, the fruit has a distinction of having a wrinkled texture with a hollow portion in the inside. But often times, the appearance varies depending on the variety of the vegetable. Some have smoother textures while others are jagged. The flesh is white in color when the fruit is still young but will eventually turn to orange or yellow when it matures. When it does, the bottom end of the fruit will curl backwards and a reddish aris with seeds enclosed in it will appear. Mostly, it is best eaten when still unripe. Nevertheless, the taste is still bitter.Such flavor is due to the present compound called momordicin. The type 1 of which is present in the leaves while momordicin II is found on the fruit. Although, this type of vegetation is majorly mistaken as vegetable it is in a reality a fruit.

With such immense content, such plant should be regarded with caution when one is utilizing it. It may be true that it brings many benefits and can alleviate major known diseases but still it has other compounds that might not be pleasant to one's health. Nevertheless, it is nice to know that an ongoing research is made to further examine what is within this vegetable that could contribute to the people' health at large.

The bitter melon fruit (Momordica charantia), also known as ampalaya, is known for its many medicinal purposes. It can also be turned into delicious cuisines. Aside from cooking ampalaya and including it in their cuisines, some powder it or extract juice from its leaves. You should also be aware of your everyday intake. Excessive eating and drinking of its juice could be fatal to you.

It was recommended that one has to take 50 to 100 ml of the bitter melon juice dividing into two to three intakes. This is equal to almost a small sized, young bitter gourd.

Still, there is the option of choosing whatever form this plant may come, since nowadays it has been turned into capsules, tea and juice. The preference of how it is taken is dependent on one's liking. If you prefer capsule, this has to be taken 1 gram twice a day. Nevertheless, taking it in its original form like turning it into a viand or food is still the most recommended. No nutrients are compromised in this method since it did not undertake any chemical or mechanical processes.

Martial Art Style Judo

Martial Art Style Judo

The martial art style Judo can mean a lot of things to different people.  In reality, it is a fun and exciting sport, an art, a discipline, an activity, a way to protect yourself, and quite simply a way of life.  Although you may hear many different meanings, the word Judo actually means all of the above and several more.

Original founded back in 1882, Judo comes from the feudal Japan fighting system.  Upon founding, Judo was a refinement of the martial art jujutsu.  Jujutsu is one of the oldest martial arts styles, dating back hundreds of years.

Judo made the biggest impact in 1964 when it was first introduced into the Olympic Games.  Now, it is practiced by millions of people all across the world.  Judo can help students stay in shape, excel in all areas of competition, stay protected with self defense, and several other things.  For a majority of students, Judo is practiced just for fun.  Although it starts out as fun for many, it quickly turns into a way of life, a burning passion if you will.

Similar to other martial arts styles, Judo has rules that ensure the safety of those competing in the competitions.   Students of Judo who are looking to test their skills will enjoy the competition levels, which range from club meets to national tournaments, and on up to the well known and best level of competition - the Olympic Games.

Judo is known best for it’s amazing throw techniques.  What many aren’t aware of, is the fact that Judo is more than just throws.  It also involves grappling on the ground, controlling holds, arm locks, leg locks, and even choking techniques.  Judo teaches all aspects of self defense, from a grappler’s standpoint.

Another great thing about Judo is the fact that anyone can study, male or female, and even those that are disabled.  Judo is also inexpensive to participate in, taught throughout the year, and it appeals to everyone.  This martial art is also unique in the sense that even the elderly enjoy practicing it on a daily basis.

Judo also helps students learn and develop respect and self discipline.  It offers the chance to learn self confidence, leadership skills, power, flexibility, and physical prowess.  Judo has evolved quite a bit over the years, going from a fighting art to competition status.  These days, there are separate Judo ranks for kids, adults, and seniors.

The martial art Judo, which means “gentle way” teaches you the applications that you need for self defense as well as competition.  Judo is unlike other martial arts, in the sense that it combines the best of grappling with awesome throws that require little to no strength - but more of the way you position your body.  This is an excellent martial art - that anyone can enjoy.

All About Wedding Ideas

All About Wedding Ideas

Here comes the bride, here comes the bride! Nearly every woman on this planet dreams about her wedding day, or at least that's what they say. And I'm sure a few men out there fancy that wonderful occasion of unity as well.

One thing is for sure, once you announce that engagement, everyone you know will have some sort of wedding ideas to offer. I'm not saying they'll be good or bad. Most likely you'll receive some of both. The most important thing here is to not lose sight of what you really want.

When I announced to my family that I was engaged to my girlfriend of 5 years, every relative tossed me their two cents. "Oh, you should have your wedding in a large church.

Maybe you and your fiance would like a destination wedding. You should have the reception at this particular venue, bla bla bla." The list went on and on. After entertaining infinite wedding ideas from relatives, my side and her side, my bride-to-be and I sat down for a little chat. We were determined to do this thing our way, and our way only.

When it comes down to it, the wedding and honeymoon is for you, the couple, not your family and friends. Sure, they can come and join in on the celebration, but on your terms. Makes perfect sense to me.

Now, not every couple is flooded with awesome wedding ideas and honeymoon spots from their friends and family. Some may even have some difficulty deciding on a venue for the ceremony. Well, let me offer some valuable information. Imagine the places you and your fiance love and dream about. Consider the locations you've always wanted to visit.

Do you want a large wedding, or would you really prefer a private ceremony? The truth is when you decide to tie the knot with someone special, there shouldn't be any stress and chaos involved. You shouldn't be getting angry at caterers or bride's maids. This is a day of celebration. It's often ruined by lame and miniscule issues that hardly matter when looking at the big picture. I just wanted to offer this wedding advice to any who've yet to be wed.

When it comes to wedding ideas, the most important is to do what you as a couple prefer. It's not called your special day for nothing.

All About Toy Hobby

All About Toy Hobby

Some adults never seem to grow up.  They seem to retain their childlike wonder at the world around them.  These are the adults who have started a toy hobby. Kids like to hang around with these adults because they seem more like kids.  Sometimes having a child or a grandchild can spark an interest in toys.  Be that as it may, a toy hobby will keep a person young at heart.

Many women love dolls and never outgrow them.  Some prefer baby dolls, some fashion dolls, and still others go for antique or decorative dolls.  Often an interest in dolls will spill over into a craft interest, as the doll lover begins to craft clothing and accessories for favorite dolls.  Sometimes the hobbyist becomes skilled at crafting the dolls themselves.  Some types of dolls that are often hand-crafted are rag dolls and cloth bodied dolls with ceramic heads.  It is not uncommon to find older women who have an entire room of their homes filled with special dolls on display.

Older men, on the other hand, (and sometimes women, too) often like cars and trucks.  Antique metal cars are hot collectibles, with some older ones being quite valuable.  Matchbox cars have always been loved, but so have the large Tonka dumptruck, road grader, and bulldozer.  You can bet the grandkids will want to play with your trucks and cars.

A toy hobby that is extremely popular is collecting Beanie Babies.  These small velour animals, made by the Ty company, each have a personality all its own.  You can find Beanie Babies in every type of animal you can think of.  A similar hobby is collecting teddy bears.  There are many Beanie Baby teddy bears, but a teddy bear collector will probably want to branch out to collect other types of bears.  In fact, many bear collectors have figurines and other items collected in addition to their teddy bears.

Wooden toys are popular among adults, both to craft and to collect.  There is something quaint and pleasant about a child playing with a handcrafted wooden toy.  Wooden toys make attractive home accents wherever they get dropped, which is not something you can say about the latest plastic gizmo.  People who like country decorating often prefer wooden toys for their kids.

You don't have to outgrow toys!  A toy hobby will keep you young at heart and make you a favorite among the kids in your neighborhood.  Whether you collect toys or craft them, a toy hobby is something you can play around with!

Taekwondo Belt Colors and What They Mean

Taekwondo Belt Colors and What They Mean

The belts and their colors that are used with Taekwondo aren't just a random assortment of colors that are used to separate the ranks in the martial art.  In Taekwondo, each belt color has a meaning that lets fighters known about their advancement and increasing knowledge.  Belts are also great for the stylist, as they let the stylist know just how far they have progressed.

The colors of the belts found in Taekwondo vary, as they represent the advancement of rank, as well as the growth of the student.  It can take a long time for students to move up the ranks, all depending on their knowledge and how quite they adapt to the techniques and forms of the art.

Below, are the colors and belts of Taekwondo, along with their meaning.

White belt
A white belt is the symbol of birth, or the beginning for the stylist.  Students that wear white belts are just starting out, searching for the knowledge to continue Taekwondo.

Yellow belt
A yellow belt is the first ray of light that shines on the student, giving them new strength to the Taekwondo martial art.  Students that have yellow belts have taken a great step in learning, and have opened their mind to new techniques.

Green belt
A green belt is the symbol of growth, or a seed as it sprouts from the ground and begins to grow into a plant.  Students with green belts are continuing along the path of Taekwondo, learning to develop further and redefine every technique they have been taught.

Blue belt
A blue belt represents a blue sky, with the plant continuing to grow upwards, heading for the sky.  Students with blue belts continue to move higher in ranks, as the plant continues to grow taller.  Students at this stage will also be given additional knowledge of Taekwondo so that their mind and body can continue to grow and develop.

Red belt
The red belt is the heat of the sun, with the plant continuing the path upwards toward the sun.  Students that possess red belts are higher in rank, as they have acquired a lot of the knowledge in the art of Taekwondo.  Red belts also tell the students to be cautious, as they gain more knowledge and their physical techniques increase.

Black belt
A black belt is the best of the best.  It symbolizes the darkness that is out there beyond the light of the sun.  Once the student is given a black belt and begins to train other students, he will teach all that has been taught to him.  Black belts recognize the best students, as they continue to teach others the art of Taekwondo, and continue the never ending cycle of training.

Surprise Perfume Sample

Surprise Perfume Sample

You might think that perfume samples are kind of annoying, and if you are reading though a magazine, you might notice that they can give you a headache.

I know this happens to me, but I do like to have them on occasion. Many who like to wear perfume have a brand that they love, but there is no saying you won’t want to find something different. These can be great things for those who like to wear it, but don’t wear it enough to justify buying a bottle.

I know that there are many times when I love my perfume, but I decide that I would like to try something else. This is when I love to find the perfume samples. I usually tear them out and save them. Granted, they don’t stay fresh for very long, but I can get one out when I need perfume and try it out for a few hours to see if I like it.

These are great to keep in your purse too, as you never know when you might need some perfume at the last minute. I know that this isn’t something essential, but it is nice to have. Perfume samples do the trick!

There are many other times when they are annoying though. They tend to leave off a scent, even though they are not supposed to do that until you wipe it on your skin.

There have been days when I have been stressed, and when that happens, I always get a headache. The perfume samples in the magazine always seem to push the headache from ‘almost’ to ‘full blown’. If you have that problem, you might want to do what I do.

I always tear them out of the magazine before I read it and throw them out or stick them in the closet, depending on if I want to save them or not.

If there is a particular perfume you would like to try, but you aren’t finding perfume samples in the magazines, you can go to any store that sells it and get a sample spritz.

You can also visit their website to see if they send out free samples in the mail. You might be surprised to find that many will do this for you. There is perhaps no better way to sell perfume than samples, because no one will buy something like that unless they are sure they like it.

Cruise Ship Family Vacations

Cruise Ship Family Vacations

Each year, millions of families make the decision to take a family vacation. If you and your family are interested in becoming one of those families, you have a number of different options.  Your options may include, but are not limited to, camping, visiting the beach, visiting a local amusement park, or setting sail on the water.

Setting sail on the water is a something that many individuals would like to do.  Unfortunately, most individuals do not own a boat or know how to operate one.  The good news is that you do not have to know anything about boats to enjoy a fun family vacation aboard a cruise ship. For years now, cruise ships have been creating fun, exciting, and safe vacation environments for families.

You may be wondering if you and your family would enjoy a vacation aboard a cruise ship. The reality is that all families vary.  Each family member is likely to have a personal preference.  Despite that preferences, cruise ships are often enjoyed by everyone, not matter what their age. This is because cruise ships offer a wide range of activities. These activities are geared towards individuals of all ages.

To decide whether or not your family should take a family vacation aboard a cruise ship, you are encouraged to consider cruise ship benefits.  The most obvious benefit, as mentioned above, is the onboard activities.  On any given cruise ship, you are likely to find an unlimited number of activities for both children and adults. These activities may include swimming, gaming, gambling, eating, watching movies, and dancing.

Other one of the many benefits of taking a family cruise ship vacation is the fact that almost all cruise ships have onboard childcare.  If you are traveling with small children, these childcare centers may allow you to have private moments by yourself or with your spouse.  These childcare centers are often operated free of charge.  That means that within a few minutes, you could drop your child off and be on your way to pampering yourself.

A cruise ship vacation benefit that many individuals do not consider is the quality time spent together. While it is true that this quality time together can be spent anywhere, it is often more memorable on a cruise ship.  Many travelers view the close corridors as a disadvantage, but in a way it may benefit your family. This benefit is most often seen with teenagers. When a child becomes a teen, spending time with their family is often eliminated from their list of priorities. A cruise ship will provide them with fun and exciting activities, but it will also allow you and your child to reconnect.

The memories made on a cruise ship are often incomparable.  The majority of children will be unable to, for one reason or another, take a cruise when they reach adulthood.  This memory is one that could serve them for a lifetime.  To cherish this memory, you are encouraged to bring along a camera or video recorder.  In addition to enjoying the cruise in the present, you and your family will also be able to enjoy it in the future.  Can you imagine sitting around your kitchen table twenty years from now reminiscing with your family?

Wherever you and your family decide to vacation, whether it be on a cruise ship or not, your vacation is sure to be memorable.  For a reasonable price, you can have an unforgettable vacation.  If a cruise is financially within your reach, why not grab hold of the experience while you can?
